We've all been told that print on print is a big no no but with the right colors and patterns, the look can be pulled off.

Patterns come in all shapes and sizes. The key is in being able to put together a color pallet. First start off with a color of your choice then decide on the pattern. Treat small patterns as a single, solid color.

I love the look in this picture. A yellow print top against a red and white checkered pant. The printed top in treated as a solid color as the pattern on the pant stand out for its boldness.

The colors are beautifully put together as they compliment each-other.

Color blocking is nothing new. We've all done it and continue to do so. For a great, bold look, try mixing and matching opposite colors. Warms and cools, darks and lights. A color wheel would be a perfect tool to achieve this look.
